Yacht holiday in Croatia - Island Vis

 Exploring Tradition In Secret Dalmatia
Vis day trip with wine tasting

01_HOME

Ancient Issa is the oldest urban settlement on the Adriatic.
The whole island is one archaeological site, especially the town Vis still holding secrets from ancient past waiting to be discovered.

Incredible history dating from Roman times can be found all around...city of Issa with square (agora–forum),
the inscription by the hero Calius from the 4th century BC ( the oldest verse found in Croatia ), a bronze head of Aphrodite, fortresses, Franciscan monastery...

The nature on the island of Vis is untouched because until 1989, the island was not opened to tourists. Undiscovered and unspoilt by modern life, it is a great place for a quiet and pleasant sailing holiday..

Walk in the vineyard_Autochtonous grape sorts

The first vineyards in the area were established by the ancient Greeks.
Sandy island soil is very favourable for wine-growing, therefore Vis vineyards are among the most appreciated in Dalmatia.
Due to specific soil in Croatian coastal region, growing wine is production which demands a lot of work, knowledge and dedication.
