Croatian yacht charter season generally lasts from April to November. However, due to our mild climate and many sunny days, sailing is possible throughout the year!
Periods from June to beginning of October are the most attractive for summer sailing with swimming and sunbathing, but each year more sailors decide to visit Croatia out of the high season, when it is not so hot, the winds are more exciting and the harbours are only half full.
During the height of the yacht charter season, in July and August, the climate in Croatia is very warm and sunny and the winds tend to be light. Peak temperatures in high season summer months can reach 38°C ( 100°F ), and the water surface at that point reaches a comfortable 27°C ( 79°F ).
It is usually more comfortable, but still warm and nice in early spring and late autumn, when days are sunny and warm, and nights fresh and bright.
Storms are very rare and always detected in advance. Dalmatian islands are very close to each other, so it is very easy to find a safe harbour on time.
